Shift Times 

Students 1&2 - 7.10am -11.10am

Parents x 2

7:00 – 11:30am

Parent 1 - at 7am takes hi-vis vest and cash box and goes and opens front gates

Parent 2 - helps set up for 10 minutes then goes to rear gates with student 1, whilst student 2 goes to front gate

  • Set‐up person timing is usually around 6:30 – 7:30 and 11:00 – 11:45.

  • Meet parents on arrival to explain their supervision role, make sure they know to wear the his‐vis vests and answer any questions. Ask parents for assistance during pack down. All instructions are at

  • Check that students have arrived on time and are wearing hi‐vis vests.

  • Call any parents or students that may have not turned up on time (phone list per Thursday email). Any issues with attendance, please let the Parking Coordinator know (Sarah Brown 0435 621 874).

  • Pay all students at the end of their shift and handover the collection buckets in person to Market Coordinator (Lorna Bunney 0411 895 101). Lorna may also pay the students and let them go at their due time.


Task List

Signs from the storage room to Alfred R (large A‐frame signs on wheels):

  • Parking sign OPEN/FULL – place to the left side of driveway entrance.

  • Parking sign REAR OVAL – place on the northern side of footpath (to not block drivers’ view), arrow pointing down Jacaranda Ave.


Both to be put away at 11:30.
















LED sign

  • Kept in the uniform room (unlocked by Lorna).

  • Remove battery charger plug.

  • Position inside the footpath next to the limestone wall.

  • Re‐plug the charger at pack down and make sure extension lead is plugged in and power point turned on near the door.

Signs from the FRONT parking area outdoor storage box:

  • “Gold coin donation / no exit” – place to the side of the entrance driveway.

  • “No Standing in Bus Bay” – place near bus stop on Alfred Road verge.

  • Small metal “EXIT” sign – place in garden bed pointing to Alfred Road exit.

  • Small metal “FULL” sign – place at limestone wall near entrance.


All to be put away at 11:30.

Place a row of traffic cones / bollards down the centre of the FRONT parking area.

Signs from the BACK parking area outdoor storage box:

Make sure all gates are open (Lorna has a set of keys for all gates).


Pedestrian gates:

  • Corner of Alfred and Montgomery.

  • 2 x gates on Jacaranda.

  • Small swing gate from blue basketball court to thoroughfare.

  • Large swing gate from thoroughfare to market area.


Please don’t leave any padlocks open or unlatched as they often get stolen. Lock all padlocks on the chain itself when gate is open.


At market pack down, Lorna will lock the gates.

Car access gates:

  • 2 x gates on Alfred Rd (to be closed 11.25-11.30)

  • 1 x BACK parking area entry gate on Jacaranda (to be closed at 11:05).

  • 1 x BACK parking area exit gate on Lobelia St (OK to keep open for cars to exit after 11:30).

Put out tables, chairs and umbrellas. 

  • Umbrellas are only needed November to March

  • The umbrella bases can be left outside
